Learn how essential oils can be paired intentionally with selected acupoints and meridian pathways rather than simply adding aromatherapy to a session without a clear purpose.

Explore aromatic and topical application, dilution, equine-specific precautions, and how to work in a way that allows the horse to participate, respond, and decline rather than forcing scent or application.

Connect essential oils with TCM concepts including warming, cooling, grounding, movement, emotional support, Five Element patterns, and meridian themes to create more thoughtful combinations within an existing acupressure practice. Pasted markdown

About the course

Essential oils can add another layer to an acupressure session, but their use should be intentional, selective, and appropriate for the individual horse. This equine-specific advanced study explores how essential oils may be incorporated alongside acupoints and meridian work, including different methods of application, selecting oils according to the purpose of the session, working with Five Element and meridian themes, and recognizing situations where essential oils may not be appropriate. Rather than teaching general aromatherapy from the beginning, the focus is on integrating essential oils into the acupressure framework you already understand.

Previous acupressure education is required

This course is designed to expand foundational acupressure knowledge. You should already understand point location, meridians, basic TCM theory, and point selection before enrolling. The goal is not to reteach acupressure. It is to help you add essential oils to your existing practice with greater purpose and a stronger understanding of how the two approaches can work together. Looking for canine and feline application? Small Animal Advanced Acupressure Studies are available separately.
